Gagandeep Singla, a 2010 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer from Rajasthan cadre, has been sent on central deputation to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as superintendent of police for five years. Singla was serving as superintendent of police in Pali district.
A native of Barnala in Punjab, Singla graduated with honours in medicine and surgery. He has served as superintendent of police in five districts — Dungarpur, Barmer, Nagaur, Sikar and Pali.
He has served also in the Anti-Corruption Bureau and in Jaipur and Jodhpur Commissionerates as deputy commissioner.

Gagandeep Singla is an upright officer known for discipline and compassion. His wife Kamini Jindal had been MLA in 2013 from Sri Ganganagar on ticket of National Unionist Zamindara Party, floated by her father BD Agarwal and guar farmers of Rajasthan.
Agarwal, who died of Covid-19 (coronavirus infection), was the chairman and managing director of Vikas WSP, a leading company which deals in agri products. Singla's experience at the CID-CB will help in for his tenure in CBI.
