Rajasthan government will organise five-day youth festival from 8-12 January to promote culture, science, innovation and sports among youth population.
The department will also give away ‘Youth Icon' award to young achiever's which have excelled in 13 different fields.
Rajasthan sports and youth affairs secretary Niraj K Pawan, who has worked hard and did ground work for this festival, will have to give it a miss. He is going to attend the mid career training programme at LBSNAA, Mussoorie from 6-31 January, 2025.
Bhawani Singh Detha, who is serving as principal secretary, ayurved and Indian medicine department, has been given additional charge of sports department.
Before Pawan took charge of sports secretary in September 2024, Detha was serving as the principal secretary sports.
“Pawan had worked hard to shape up the youth festival. He took personal interest in promoting this event among youth. Now he will not be part of it,” said a staff of Rajasthan Youth Board.
Along with Pawan, four other IAS officers – V Sravana Kumar – Ravi Jain, Ravi Kumar Surpur and Arushi Ajey Malik – are also going for this long training programme.
V Sravana Kumar, who is serving as secretary and commissioner, science and technology department, is also going for this long training programme. Archana Singh, who is serving as secretary information technology and communication department, has been given additional charge.
Apart from that, four more IAS officers – Rajan Vishal, Bhagwati Prasad Kalal, Harimohan Meena and Nishant Jain – are going for the training programme on January 6, 2025. But they will come back in January 11, 2025.
The charge of Rajan Vishal, who is serving as secretary agriculture, has been given to Kuldeep Ranka, additional chief secretary, social justice and empowerment.
The charge of Bhagwati Prasad Kalal, who is holding dual charge of managing director RSMML and director mines, has been given to Pragya Kewalramani, who already has her hands full with charges of commissioner TAD, divisional commissioner Udaipur.
The charge of Harimohan Meena, who is serving as managing director Rajasthan Financial Corporation (RFC) has been given to Ngikya Gohain, who is serving as joint secretary, administrative reforms and coordination.
The charge of Nishant Jain has been given to Rukmani Riar, commissioner Jaipur Nagar Nigam Greater. Jain is serving as secretary JDA.
