At least 21 IAS officers are out of business for quite some time in Rajasthan bureaucracy while close to 50 officers are holding additional charges.
“The health of bureaucracy is not in the pink of health. Several senior and important positions are being given as additional charge to junior officers. The is creating roadblocks in the overall development and decision making,” said a senior IAS officer, who is holding three charges.
Out of 21 officers who are literally without work include five officer on APO, 10 young officers attached to industries department and six collectors of disbanded districts.
“Those who have been put on APO include Hanuman Mal Dhaka and Rajendra Vijay, who were sent on APO after action of Anti Corruption Bureau. It's been quite a long time. How long can they get their salaries without work. The government should make use of them if they are not getting suspended,” said another IAS officer adding that other three officers – Jagjeet Singh Monga, Shrestha Sree and Shivangi Swarnkar should get posting immediately.
“Shrestha Sree is a 2022 batch officer, who has joined Rajasthan cadre in inter cadre transfer from Tripura after getting married to Rajasthan cadre IAS Mridul Singh of 2020 batch. Shivangi has come back after a long leave,” the officer added.
As many as 10 young IAS officers of 2022 batch are also waiting for their field postings. They were attached with industries department to assist senior officers in organising Rising Rajasthan Summit. These officers include Yaksh Chaudhary, Preetam Kumar, Yasharth Shekhar, Anshu Priya, Saksham Goel, Divyansh Singh, Shraddha Gome, Mohit Kasniya and Bhaisare Shubham Ashok.
“All these young officers are waiting for meaning postings. They are still attached to industries department without any productive work. Their restless energies should be channelised in the right direction,” said a senior IAS officer.
Similarly, after the decision of disbanding nine districts – Jaipur rural, Jodhpur rural, Kekri, Dudu, Shahpura, Neema ka Thana, Anupgarh, Gangapurcity and Sanchore, collectors of six districts are out of business. The charges of three districts – Jaipur rural, Jodhpur rural and Dudu – were held as additional charge.
“Now IAS officers Rajendra Singh (Shahpura) Sharad Mehra (Neema Ka Thana), Shakti Singh Rathore (Sanchore), Shweta Chauhan (Kekri), Avdhesh Meena (Anupgarh) and Gaurav Saini (Gangapurcity) need postings to justify their worths,” said another IAS officer.
