Weddings help Rajasthan get two IAS officers on inter cadre transfer 

The department of personnel and training (DoPT) has transferred two officers from different cadres to on grounds of marriage.

Chhaya Singh, an IAS officer of 2024 batch has been transferred to Rajasthan from Madhya Pradesh on the basis of her marriage with Mohit Kasniya, who is a 2022 batch IAS officer serving in Rajasthan as sub divisional officer and Sub divisional magistrate Bhinmal in Jalore. Chhaya Singh is daughter of Chhote Singh, a promotee IAS officer from 2010 batch in Madhya Pradesh.

Another IAS from cadre – Ashish Kumar Mishra from 2021 batch – has also been transferred to Rajasthan cadre on basis of his marriage with batchmate Anshu Priya, who is serving as sub divisional magistrate and sub divisional officer at

This month so far there is addition of three IAS officers in Rajasthan cadre. On April 1, from 2018 batch, Himachal Pradesh cadre was granted permission for inter cadre transfer to Rajasthan on basis of  extreme hardships.
