Two young Rajasthan Police Service ( RPS ) officers met with an accident on Kota-Chittorgarh Highway. While Rajendra Kumar Gurjar, who is posted as Asst Commandant, II Battalion, Rajasthan Armed Constabulary (RAC), died in the accident, his batchmate Anjali Singh, who was posted as Circle Officer Begun, Chittorgarh suffered severe injuries.
Both the officers are from 2021 batches and it was their first posting after training.
Rajendra Kumar Gurjar, 28, is from Sikar while Anjali Singh, 31, belongs to Kota.
How the accident of RPS happened?
Rajendra Kumar Gurjar and Anjali Singh were travelling together in a SUV from Kota to Chittorgarh. Around 7.30 in the morning, a trolla truck hit the SUV badly and trampled the vehicle. The airbags of the vehicles opened but could not save Rajendra Kumar Gurjar., His batchmate Anjali Singh suffered grievous injuries and was taken to the hospital in Kota.
Kota range IG Ravi Gaur and Kota SP Amrita Duhan are monitoring the situation and they are keeping a close watch on the treatment of Anjali Singh.
Rajendra Kumar Gurjar and Anjali Singh had joined their first postings 15 days back only.
During probation, Anjali Singh was posted in Jhalawar. She was also posted as Circle Inspector of Bassi (Chittorgarh).
