Top heads of Rajasthan police will brainstorm on issues related to policing and public security in a two-day state level police officers conference – Policing with Excellence – the way forward – starting on August 29, 2024.
Director General of Police (DGP) Utkal Ranjan Sahoo said that the conference is being organised as a follow up of the national level DGP-IG conference, which was held in Jaipur in January this year under the chairmanship of prime minister Narendra Modi.
“Chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will inaugurate the conference while minister of state home Jawahar Singh Bedham, chief secretary Sudhansh Pant, additional chief secretary home Anand Kumar and other senior officials will attend the inaugural session of the conference,” he said.
Sahoo said that senior cops of Rajasthan and experts will give presentations in different sessions on topics focussed on better policing.

“In these sessions officers in the ranks of ADG, Range IG, DIG, select SPs, ASPs, DSPs and chosen officers of Inspector rank will rake up their minds together through online and offline modes.
The DGP said that the conference will focus on topics like new criminal laws, artificial intelligence tools, prevention of smuggling of narcotics goods, cyber security, crime control, noose on cheating, crime against women, control over crime against children and weaker section, road safety, traffic management and sensitive issues like internal security.
