The term of chairman of State Bank of India Dinesh Kumar Khara has been extended till August 28, 2024. Khara, who is 62 years old is scheduled to complete his three-year term today. He will now serve till August 2024.
Khara has assumed the position of chairman in the largest public sector bank on October 7, 2020. The term for chairman in SBI is for three-year or 63 years of age whichever is early.
Similarly, the term of managing director of SBI Ashwini Kumar Tiwari has also been extended for a period of two years beyond January 27, 2024.
