Rajasthan Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant said that the businesses can thrive when the conducive business environment is aided by good governance and fast decision making.
“Here in Rajasthan the emphasis of chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is on fast decision making. Decisions, which would normally take months and years earlier, are being taken in hours now,” he shared with Mumbai's business community, who had come in large number to attend the road of Rising Rajasthan, an investors summit to be held from 9-11 December 2024.
Pant said that the time taken for disposing any file in Rajasthan has come to few hours now.
He said that when chief minister took over as chief minster he instructed that there should not be any pendency in file disposal.
“A few months ago, average time taken by secretaries for disposing file was 30 hours. Now it has reduced to four hours. Similarly collectors collectively used to take an average of time of 36 hours for disposing a file. Now it has come down to two hours,” he said.
Citing example of efficiency of chief minister office and industries department, Pant said that senior officers take less than an hour in disposing files.
“The average time of file disposal of our principal secretary industries is less than a hour. Commissoner industries take a hour to clear e file. Our additional chief secretary to CM Shikhar Agarwal takes an hour to dispose the file. Where decisions are taken in months and years, in Rajasthan decisions are taken in hours,” he said.
Fast disposal and good governance contribute in attracting investment in the state.
Pant said that all the land related issues, whether it's land conversion or land mutation, all has been placed under online system.
“Time limit has been set for every process on online system. The number of days has been fixed for any land conversion. The number of days has been earmarked for various levels including tehsildar, SDM, collector and state revenue department,” he said.
