A 20-year old bride suffering from rare Cerebral palsy disease solemnised a special marriage with the groom Lord Krishna in Jaipur. More than 300 people became witness to this grand wedding following all the traditions and ritual of a Hindu marriage.
The bride Yogyata has been suffering from cerebral palsy disease since birth. She is not able to move and remain on wheelchair. But after attending weddings in her family and seeing her sister in bride's attire, the desire to become a bride came in her mind. Her parents too agree to fulfil her wish.
Followed all the rituals
Father Vijay Mishra said that the family wanted to follow all the rituals and traditions so that the marriage doesn't look like just a formality.
“Wedding cards were printed. All the relatives and friends were invited. The pre wedding rituals of Haldi, Mehendi and ladies sangeet were organised with compete fanfare. We invited Lord Ganesha as the first invitee to witness the wedding,” Mishra said.
He said that the priest of a temple along with 20 people came along band baja to bride's house as baraati.
“The groom Lord Krishna was brought in a palki along with an elaborate baraat. The rituals of fera, bhaat, kanyadaan and vidai were performed with gaiety,” Mishra said.
Is the marriage valid in Hindu religion
According to Acharya Jopat, marriage with Lord Vishnu is valid in Hindu religion.
“There have examples of such marriages in Shashtra like Vrinda Tulsi and few others,” he said.
