Emotions of Rajasthan chief secretary Sudhansh Pant were pouring out at the Pravasi Uttarakhand Sammelan held at Dehradun. ‘High flying' natives of Uttarakhand from across the globe congregated at the sammelan to feel the divinity of Devbhoomi as the state is popularly known as.
Speaking out his heart, Sudhansh Pant said that the state has progressed in a big way over 24 years since it has attained statehood after splitting from Uttar Pradesh.
Son of soil, Pant has his roots in a small village Khitoli in Pithoragarh district. He still has his parental house in Nainital where he visits two-three times a year.
“It's not that we have cut our roots from motherland. But this occasion has certainly revived our bond with natives of this Godly place. I thank chief minsiter Pushkar Dhami for organising this sammelan and inviting all of us from across the country,” he said.
As a dedicated karmayogi, Pant didn't forget his karmbhoomi at his janmbhoomi and referred Rising Rajasthan in the sammelan also.
“We are also organising Paravasi Rajasthani Sammelan on December 10 at Jaipur where migrant Rajasthanis will assemble from across the world,” he said.
He said that Uttarakhand Bhawan is being is constructed in Pushkar and Rajasthan chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has sanctioned Rs 1 crore for that building.
“When the building is completed, we will invite you for the inauguration of the building,” he said.
Pant said that Uttarakhand has a great potential in the field of mining, tourism and industries and it has shaped up well over last 24 years.
“In next two days, it will enter in its 25th year of existence and I am sure under the able leadership of chief minister Dhami, it will scale new heights,” Pant said.
Pant appreciated the realisation rate of investment MoUs signed up during Uttarakhand Global Investment Summit into business on ground.
“During Global Summit, you have signed up MoUs worth Rs 3.5 lakh crore. And it is heartening to know that the state has realised investment of Rs 90,000 crore on ground. Signing of MoUs remain just pieces of papers until it's realised on ground,” Pant said.
Rajasthan is also organising a global investment summit – Rising Rajasthan – from 9-11 December 2024. The state has already signed up MoUs worth Rs 18 lakh crore. Now the challenge for chief secretary Sudhansh and his team of bureaucrats would be to realise as many MoUs on ground.
