In a big crackdown, Special Operation Group (SOG) has arrested an RAS officer – Jaisalmer's Fatehgarh SDM Hanumana Ram – in Sub Inspector recruitment-2021 case,
Hanumana Ram allegedly became a dummy candidate and appeared in the SI recruitment exam in place of Narpatram.
The fact unfolded when the Jodhpur range police arrested Narpatram (29) and his wife Indra (27) in the paper leak case 3 days ago. Jodhpur police handed the couple over to SOG for further investigation.
During interrogation, both had taken the name of SDM Hanumana Ram. On the basis of their statement, Hanumana Ram has been arrested.
Who is Hanumana Ram?
Hanumana Ram, a resident of Bisaranian village in Barmer district. Hanumana Ram was continuously preparing for RAS since 2016 and secured 22nd rank in RAS in the second attempt. Hanumana Ram's family consists of father Kaushala Ram, mother Pempo Devi, two brothers and 6 sisters. He belong to farming community.
Joined the post of Fatehgarh SDM in February 2025
Hanumana Ram had prepared for RAS from Bhatia Ashram Suratgarh in 2016. He took the RAS exam in 2016, but was not selected. In 2018, he was selected for the post of Computerised by the Department of Statistics in Barmer. He kept on trying for RAS till he got selected.
The first posting of Hanumana as SDM was on February 13, 2023 in Chitalwana (Jalore). After that, he was transferred to Bagora. Later he was transferred to Sheo in Barmer. His current posting was in Fatehgarh, Jaisalmer, from where he was arrested.
