Narendra Kumar Thory, a 2011 batch RAS officer, who is working as deputy secretary in higher education department, is under fire. His neighbours living in the Balaji Tower, Sector 5 of Vidyadharnagar have filed a complaint against him of misbehaviour and threatening people living in the society. 

According to society office-bears of the society, Thori is living as a tenant in the tower and for last four years he has been troubling the residents and staff. 

“He forces out others from the elevator whenever he uses it. He misbehaves and bullies electrician and other staff. When people confronted the RAS officer, he threatened them of dire consequences,” society filed a written complaint with

Former of the society Anand Shekhawat said that Thory is habitual of misbehaving with residents and people are upset with him. 

“He abuses people. He also threatens them of police and shooting them with mouzer. Enraged with this, residents of the society have come together to file formal complaint against him,” he said. 

Circle Inspector of Vidyadharnagar Rakesh said that the police have received a complaint of dispute between residents of Balaji Tower.

“We had sent a party to the society. We are investigating the complaint,” he said. 

Narendra Thory was suspended for inappropriate behaviour

Narendra Kumar Thory was suspended in January 2020 for inappropriate behaviour. He was then serving as additional district magistrate in Churu district. The then Churu Sandesh Nayak had recommended his suspension. He is a native of Bikaner and has done doctorate in Public Administration after clearing NET.

“Thory has a history of misbehaviour and inappropriate behaviour during his service time. He is a tough officer and gets enraged easily. He has some temperamental issues also,” said an officer, who has worked with him.
