Rajasthan Police has constituted a seven-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by additional director general (Crime) Dinesh MN to probe the suicide case of constable Babulal Bairwa who had accused senior police officers and a journalist for the reason behind his suicide in the suicide note.
DGP Utkal Ranjan Sahoo issued order regarding setting up of SIT which comprises of Inspector General of CID (Crime Branch) Prafulla Kumar, SP Prahlad Krishnia, ASPs Sohail Raja and Seema Bharti, DSP Ashok Kumar, Inspector Purshottam Mehariya and Sub Inspector Vinod Kumar Meena.
The SIT will investigate the suicide and related case in an impartial manner. It will submit its report at the earlier. It will also update DGP Sahoo on the progress of the investigation.
Meanwhile, the accused mentioned in suicide note – ASP Jagdish Vyas and ACP Anil Sharma were placed under APO while SI Ashutosh was suspended.
Deputy CM announces compensation for constable family
Deputy chief minister Prem Chand Bairwa, who belongs to the community of the deceased constable said that the government has agreed to give compensation to family of the dead constable.
He said that retirement benefits of Rs 55 lakhs and family pension will be provided to the family at the earliest.
Apart from that, Babulal's son Tanuj Gothwal will get appointment on compassionate ground while his daughter Sakshi Gothwal will be adopted by the police department.
Right from education to marriage, the expense will be borne by the police department. His daughter will also be given a job on contract basis as soon as possible.
