The arrest of AAP's Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh by Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has sent shivers down the spines of ministers in Rajasthan government. ED has been active in state for last six months probing several cases including Jal Jeevan Mission, paper leak and unaccounted money found in DoIT office among others.
ED has recently raided residence and establishments of minister of state for home Rajendra Yadav in an alleged scam related to mid day meal. Apart from Yadav, ED so far has not targeted any minister directly.
“With election nearing, ED may initiate some action in Rajasthan. Our own agency ACB has already taken action in these cases. The entry of ED is just to intimidate people get political mileage,” said a Congress leader.
ED so far has arrested RPSC member Babu Lal Katara, agency Sher Singh Meena in paper leak case and joint director of DoIT Ved Prakash Yadav in case related to recovery of gold and cash in locker of DoIT. The central agency so far has not made any arrest in Jal Jeevan Mission.
