RSRTC CMD Sreya Guha directs for videography during inspection of buses

Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) and managing has directed vigilance officials to conduct videography during inspection of buses to make it more effective and transparent.

Guha said that the decision to conduct videography has been taken to rule out any dispute arising among vigilance team and the conductors of the buses. 

“Vigilance team and conductors of the buses level allegations on each other. There is no mechanism to verify their complaints. So we have directed vigilance team to record their action through videography. During inspection, tickets of the passengers have to be checked physically,” she said. 

 Guha said videography will bring in the system and revenue collection will also improve. 

“If the vigilance team finds every thing in order during inspection then the vigilance team will issue two copies of report from ETIM machine. The reports will have to be duly signed by vigilance team and the team of driver and conductor,” she said adding that vigilance team can no longer do formality by issuing one sided status report.

She said that those who violates the directions will be have to face strict disciplinary action.

Delhi depot earns Rs 4 lakh more than previous year

The Delhi depot of RSRTC clocked an earning of Rs 46 lakh on the day of Rakhi – Rs 4 lakh more than previous year's collection on Rakhi Day.

RSRTC offers free rides to on the occasion of Rakhi. This year also, they was no charge for women travelling on RSRTC buses.

“The swell in earning was due to better management and facilities to the passengers. We strive to provide best of the facilities or our esteemed passengers,” said a senior Roadways official.
