The beleaguered recruitment agency of Rajasthan Rajasthan Public Service Commission (), which is facing multiple allegations of paper leaks and forged recruitment, is trying to rebuild its image.

One of its senior members Lt. Col. (retd) Kesari Singh Rathore has claimed that the interviews he had taken in his board have been unbiased, fair and transparent.

He throws an open challenge saying that he will resign if any candidate selected in his board with higher marks in interview fails to comply with government parameters in skills and knowledge.

Rathore is an upright bold army officer with an unblemished service record. He took voluntary retirement from army to serve people of his native place Rajasthan. He was interest in joining the electoral politics and contest assembly election from Makrana. But the then chief minister Ashok Gehlot persuaded him to join RPSC, which was under attack for paper leaks and fraudulent practices.

Rathore agreed to sacrifice his political ambition for the future of candidates aiming for government jobs.

“I want to work towards regaining the lost glory of RPSC. For that I am trying to bring in fair and transparent practices in the commission. No fake or undeserving candidate can pass through my board. I have implemented tight assessment system to churn out quality candidates,” Rathore told The

He said that he is trying to bring the strict discipline and fair practices of army in RPSC to ensure that ‘no black sheep' becomes part of the selection.

“We pick subject experts in interview panel after thorough background check and assessing their subject knowledge. People of Rajasthan have given us big to choose the right pick,” he said.

Apart from Rathore, RPSC has members like former IAS officer Kailash Chand Meena (officiating as chairman), Sangeeta Arya, and Aiyub Khan. The posts of chairman and a member are vacant while one member Babu Lal Katara has been suspended after he was arrested on allegations of paper leak.
