RMSCL receives excellence award for e-medicine software 

RMSCL has been continuously striving for technological innovation for making medicine distribution efficient. It received award at Technology Sabha organised by Indian Express Group for implementation of e-medicine software

Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation Limited () received excellence award for its e-medicine software used to distribute free medicines at the Technology Sabha organised by Express Computer, an initiative of Indian Express Group.

The award to RMSCL was given under enterprise application category. It was received by additional of RMSCL Vikram Singh Sankhla.

The Technology Sabha award is a prestigious award given to government agencies, who outshine in tech logical excellence and adopting best of IT practices for innovation. 

RMSCL managing director Neha Giri said that the corporation is using e-medicine software to ensure availability of quality medicines at all the medical centres. 

“It's an excellent application. We have been able to ensure uninterrupted supply of free medicines through this software,” she said.

Neha Giri, a 2010 batch officer, has been serving as managing director of RMSCL from February this year. Ever since she has been introducing new practices and systems to improve efficiency in logistics and distribution and bring transparency in procurement. 

Recently Neha Giri led a team to Madhya Pradesh to study the distribution system of free medicines in government hospitals and health care. This will help Rajasthan adopt good practices of Madhya Pradesh to strengthen the distribution mechanism in the . The team visited health centres located at remote areas to study the implementation of free medicine scheme in Madhya Pradesh.

“The award is manifestation of best practices being adopted in the corporation for efficient delivery channel of free medicine. RMSCL is focusing heavily on technological intervention for prepare automated mechanism ruling out any leakage and discrepancy in logistics and distribution,” said a senior official of RMSCL.
