Rising Rajasthan MoU implementation may lose pace, two key officials go for Delhi poll duty

The momentum of MoU implementation is likely to slow down as two key officials – RIICO managing Inderjeet Singh and BIP additional commissioner Sourabh Swami – are going on election duty for

The two officials will be out of action in Rajasthan for at least three weeks.

Inderjeet Singh is also holding charge of commissioner BIP – the nodal agency which organised Rising Rajasthan Global .

“RIICO is working overtime to allot land to companies, which have signed MoUs at Rising Rajasthan. It has already allotted land to four companies and a few more allotments are in . The progress may hamper in absence of Inderjeet Singh, who was pushing the process aggressively,” said a senior RIICO official.

The BIP is also tracking the progress of implementation of MoUs and is regularly conditional training programmes for different departments for speedy implementation of proposals.

In absence of the ‘regular' BIP commisioner Rohit Gupta, who has gone one a study leave, Sourabh Swami has been aptly driving the MoU tracking process.

“Now in his absence, the tracking system may also lose pace. His charge has been given to Mahipal Kumar, deputy secretary , who is considered a smart officer. It's to be seen how he copes up with dual charge,” asks a BIP official.
