Rishav Mandal IAS appointed as Bharatpur UIT secy

Rishav Mandal is among the three young officers, who have been entrusted with the responsibility of transforming Bharatpur into a dream city

Rishav Mandal, a 2019 batch IAS, who was serving as additional commissioner commercial taxes, has been transferred to 's home district Bharatpur to serve as secretary, Urban Improvement Trust (UIT). CM was not happy with the working of UIT secretary Kamal Ram Meena, an RAS officer. In a recent visit to Bharatpur, UDH principal secretary T Ravikanth had given notice to Meena for pendency of work. A day after Kamal Ram Meena was even transferred as joint secretary public works department.
This will be for the first time an IAS officer has been appointed as secretary in UIT Bharatpur.

Huge expectations from Rishav Mandal

Bharatpur is the focus district of Bhajan Lal Sharma government. It is one of the backward districts and needs a special attention. Bharatpur city is also not in a good shape. There is lack of infrastructure and urban city planning. The Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) has a big role in planning proper expansion of city area to handle the growing population. For that Mandal will have to really work hard and bring the development of the city back on track.

A mechanical engineering graduate, Rishav Mandal is a native of Bihar. It will be his sixth posting in five years of his career. He had earlier served in Bharatpur as in his first posting in 2020. Familiarity with the city, culture and people will help him in transforming the sleepy Bharatpur to an urbane city.

CM entrusts responsibility on three young officers

This will be for the first time three young and dynamic officers will be working together in Bharatpur. Superintendent of Police Mridul Kachawa, a 2015 batch IPS, has already made his mark by arresting several dreaded criminals in Bharatpur district. He has made a crackdown on cyber criminals of Mewat region also to give them sleepless nights. When he was SP in the neighbouring Dholpur district, he was credits to have arrested 45 dacoits of the region.

Bharatpur collector Amit Yadav, 2016 batch IAS officer, is also a promising officer. He has recently been transferred to Bharatpur. He had earlier served as collector of Sikar and Nagaur. He had also served in Bharatpur earlier as CEO of Zila Parishad in the year 2020 when Rishav Mandal was serving as assistant collector.

Amit Yadav

Rishav Mandal now will have to work in close coordination with Amit Yadav to transform Bharatpur into a city which the CM dreams of.
