RIICO spins into industrial township development spree

Industrial and Investment Development Corporation (RIICO), state government's nodal agency for industrial development, is on a mission to develop new industrial townships in the state. 

Recently, RIICO chairman and the managing director Inderjeet Singh visited areas near and Bandikui to identify land for the development of industrial township. 

Now RIICO executive director Akash Tomar and Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) additional commissioner Navneet Kumar visited villages in Pali district, where project of Jodhpur-Pali-Marwar Industrial Area (JPMIA) – is being developed by Rajasthan Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (RIDCO), a joint venture between government of India and state government. 

The team led by both the officers met Pali collector L N Mantri to iron out issues obstructing the infrastructure development in the JPMIA. The team of RIICO and DMIC discussed with officials discom, PHED, revenue, PWD and other civic bodies to facilitate connection, water supply and road infrastructure in JPMIA. 

Development of first phase

The JPMIA is being developed in Rohat tehsil of Pali covering 9 villages across area of 154.37 sw km, out of which 58.99 Sq.km. has been proposed as an urbanizable area for a horizon period of 2042.

The development of the first phase will commence on 1,577 acres of land for which Rs. 322.80 crore  is being released by National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation(NICDC) towards its equity in the special purpose vehicle (SPV). 

The government of India will provide a soft loan of Rs. 105 crore while the other partner of SPV RIICO will send Rs. 275 crore for water supply to this industrial township.

Apart from that acquisition of 1086.44 hectares land is also under process for phase B and for the development of Multi Model logistics Hub (MMLH).
