The Eligibility Exam for Teachers (REET) – 2025 will be held in the second half of January 2025. secretary Krishna Kunal said that Rajasthan Secondary Education Board will conduct this examination. The government has announced to recruit one lakh teachers every year.

“Those who will clear REET will be eligible for teachers recruitment test. Dates of REET is yet to be finalised,” said Krishna Kunal, who chaired the meeting of senior officers including director second education Ashish Modi, director primary education Sitaram Jat and secretary secondary education board Kailash Chand Sharma among others.

Candidates clearing REET will be eligible to appear in teachers recruitment examinations for three years as the certificate of passing REET is valid for three years.

REET in line with RPSC to ensure transparency

Kunal said that there would be options in OMR sheet instead of four for every question asked.

“In this case, candidate will have to compulsorily fill one of the options even if he doesn't know the answer. If the candidate doesn't fill any option then there would be negative marking. Also if the candidate leaves more than 10% questions unattempted, he will be disqualified from the examination,” he said.

The practice of making it mandatory to fill an option even if the candidate doesn't know the answer is targeted at curbing malpractices and corruption in recruitment .

“We are also considering to fix photograph of the candidate along with the roll number. Final decision in this regard will be taken soon,” Krishna Kunal said.

He said that the examination will be conducted with the help of district administration to ensure complete transparency in the process.

“The eligibility test will be conducted at every district so that cheating and wrong doing can be curbed effectively. We will soon issue notification in this regard,” he said.
