RCDF MD Sushma Arora joins hands with NDDB chairman Meenesh Shah for dairy projects 

RCDF joined hands with NDDB to seek technical and marketing assistance for the completing dairy projects in Rajasthan

Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation (RCDF) has joined hands with National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to seek technical and marketing assistance for completing projects in time and enable weaker milk federations to market their milk and milk products. 

RCDF managing director and administrator Sushma Arora met NDDB Meenesh Shah at his office in Delhi to rope in the expertise of NDDB in promoting milk and milk products in Rajasthan. 

Sushma Arora said that NDDB will support RCDF in doing innovations in the fields of product packaging and advertising. This will be help in selling the milk products of RCDF at large scale. 

She said that the NDDB will also help in expansion of milk collection by RCDF in panchayats where the milk federation is not present.

“RCDF will expand its operations in remote panchayats under the guidance and support laid by the union cooperative ministry,” Sushma Arora said.

During the meeting the two officers – Sushma Arora and Meenesh Shah – discussed and reviewed the projects jointly operated by NDDB and RCDF.

RCDF managing director and administrator Sushma Arora said the Rajasthan is among the leading milk producers of the country and the state is committed to increase the milk production.

Meenesh Shah appreciated the work of RCDF under the leadership of Sushma Arora. He said that Rajasthan  is doing extremely well in dairy sector. 

has allocated ₹220 crore for the development of dairy infrastructure in the state. This is a announcement in the budget and will change the face of dairy sector in Rajasthan,” Shah said.

Currently there are two major ongoing dairy projects of NDDB n Rajasthan. One is in Ajmer where 30 tonnes per day of milk powder and 1000 tonnes of litres per day of milk products are being produced. The another project is in Bhilwara where a dairy plant of 500 tonnes of litres per day is being produced.

In the financial year 2023, Rajasthan with a total milk production of 33.31 million metric tonnes clocked second position in the country only next to Uttar Pradesh which produced more than 36 million metric tonnes. The total milk production in the country amounted to over 230 million metric tons during the same fiscal year.
