Business Titan Ratan Tata, former chairman of Tata Sons passed away after battling for life at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital

The sun will rise on Thursday too. But rays will not fall on the beaming face of the legendary Ratan Tata, former of Tata Sons, who battling for life at Mumbai's . He was 86.

As per reports, the veteran industrialist was admitted in Mumbai after his blood pressure dropped suddenly. Later he was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) following a sudden deterioration in his health.

The day he was admitted to hospital, there were speculations about his ill health. But on October 7, in a social media post, the 86-year-old dismissed health concerns as ‘rumours' and informed his followers and fans that there was no cause for concern and that he is undergoing check-ups for age-related medical conditions.

Taking to Twitter, Harsh Goenka confirmed the news and wrote: “The clock has stopped ticking. The Titan passes away. #RatanTata was a beacon of integrity, ethical leadership and philanthropy, who has imprinted an indelible mark on the world of business and beyond. He will forever soar high in our memories.”

Ratan Tata ran Tata Sons for more than 20 years and is credited with expanding and diversifying the company.

Tata became chairman of the autos to steel conglomerate in 1991 and ran the group founded by his great-grandfather more than a hundred years ago until 2012.

He founded telecommunications company Tata Teleservices in 1996 and took IT company Tata Consultancy Services public in 2004.

Ratan Tata Was Suffering From Low Blood Pressure

Earlier, reports emerged that Ratan Tata was hospitalised after his blood pressure suddenly dropped. “Experiencing sudden drops in blood pressure can be quite concerning, and there are several reasons why this can happen. A common cause is orthostatic hypotension, which occurs when you quickly stand up, causing a brief dip in blood pressure.
