RAS Rajesh Daga appointed additional private secy to Om Birla

Rajesh Daga, a 2015 batch RAS officer promoted from Tehsildar service, has been sent on deputation to serve as additional private secretary of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

Daga was serving as deputy director in women and child development department in from where Om Birla belongs to. Daga is among few officers, who has been chosen for such an important assignment.

Rajesh Daga is a 2003 batch Tehsildar service officer promoted in RAS in 2015. Since his promotion he has been serving in Kota only barring brief stints in Ajmer and Jhalawar.

A native of Jodhpur, Rajesh Daga has worked as deputy commissioner municipal corporation Kota, commissioner municipal corporation Kota, deputy secretary UIT Kota, assistant and executive magistrate Kota and sub divisional magistrate Kanwas among other postings.

People close to Daga say that the appointment of Daga is due to his proximity with Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla, who is member of parliament from Kota. Whether it was municipal corporation or UIT, Daga had worked efficiently to the development of Kota city.

“Rajesh Daga is an effective officer. He has rose form ranks and has a good grounding. With his skill sets he is going to excel with Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla,” said an officer who has worked with Daga.

Earlier, Yogesh Srivastava who was working as deputy secretary to Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla has been repatriated to be appointed as officer on special duty to Rajasthan . Before joining Lok Sabha secretariat, Srivastava has worked as deputy secretary to Governor of Rajasthan Kalraj Mishra.

A native of Dholpur, Srivastava has also worked as special assistant to and civil supplies minister of Rajasthan Ramesh Chand Meena. He was also secretary to Meena when The latter was parliamentary secretary during February 2009 to March 2012.
