Rajyavardhan Rathore to lead a delegation to middle-east from September 16

Rajasthan industries and commerce minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore will be visiting Middle East to woo investment

industries and commerce minister Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore will lead a high-level delegation to UAE and Qatar from 16-20 September, 2024. 

The delegation will try to rope in investors and business organisations in the two West Asian economies to invest in Rajasthan and invite them for the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, to be held in December 2024.

The visit of Rathore will be immediately after the arrival of chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma led delegation which is on visit to South Korea and . The delegation, consisting of deputy chief minister Prem Chand Bairwa, additional chief secretary to CM Shikhar Agrawal and industries Ajitabh Sharma has been able to generate investment interest among few South Korean and Japanese companies.

Addressing the media, Rathore said the government is committed to generate and help the Rajasthan's economy through this summit.

“We are trying that several MoUs, which have been signed, become operational even before the main summit is held in December this year. We have scaled up the international outreach for inviting the business leaders to Rajasthan to unprecedented levels and doing investors' meets in different countries and in different cities of the country. In the Delhi Investors' Meet, we are going to organize roundtable with ambassadors of different countries. We have the desired political will to make the ‘Rising Rajasthan' Global Investment Summit 2024 a resounding success,” he said. 

Rathore also highlighted the recent decision taken by the government to allocate specific IAS officers as Point of Contacts (PoCs) to specific countries to take routine follow-up on the investment proposals from the respective country/state and ensure its on-ground implementation.

”It is an opportunity to showcase Rajasthan as one of the most business-friendly states that is undertaking a massive overhaul to make the industrial landscape investor friendly,” he said.

For the first time in Rajasthan, the summit is being organised on a global scale for which the patchwork has been laid by tying up with partner nations and partner international organisations.

“We are going to launch several new policies are going to ensure that all major sectors of the economy are in sync with the investor-friendly vision of the government,” he said.
