Rajsamand Collector Neelabh Saxena serves notices to three officers for negligence in duty

The district election officer and district magistrate of Neelabh Saxena has served 17 CC notices to three officers for observing laxity in election related activities. These officers included chief executive officer of Nathdwara Temple Board Kaillash Chandra Sharma, Deogarh Ajay and Nagar Parishad commissioner R K Mehta.

The three officers have been asked to personally appear and submit reply within three days. If they fail to do so, one sided action will be taken.

Notice to CEO Nathdwara Temple Board

The CEO of Nathdwara Temple Board Kailash Chandra Sharma has been given notice for observing laxity in related to postal ballot. Sharma has been made incharge of postal ballot cell.
As per the notice number 1151, Saxena received complaint from polling party about irregularities in postal ballots at Polytechnic College. Saxena went to to the spot and ensured corrective action. As per the notice, it has been mentioned that CEO Sharma was supposed to arrange and process the postal ballots division wise. But Sharma is said to have left the premises in presence of collector Saxena showing negligence towards his duty.

Notice to SDO Devgarh

The district collector Saxena has given notice to SDO Devgarh Ajay also. As per the notice number 1152, SDO was not present on his duty when election observers were on a tour to Bhim-Devgarh area. He had gone to without permission. Even during the commissioning of EVM between 15-18 November, SDO was not present even one day. As per the notice, the SDO had left headquarter on July 3 and August 23 without any permission.

Notice to Nagar Parishad commissioner

The Collector has given notice to Nagar Parishad commissioner R K Mehta also. As per the notice number 1150, the entire city of Rajsamand submerged in November 16 after water from Rajsamand lake was released to canal. That had left life out of gear in the city. The collector had then asked the commissioner and executive engineer of water resources to present report on that mishap. But the commissioner didn't respond to it.

Apart from that, the commissioner was found absent on November 18 when collector had come to Balkrishna Stadium to send off polling parties. The phone of commissioner was also switched off.

The notice has been served to commissioner for showing callous attitude towards electoral work.
