Rajasthan to soon roll out ‘Heal in Rajasthan’ to promote medical tourism

Rajasthan is soon going to roll out policies to promote medical tourism in the state. The state is committed to provide quality treatment

Rajasthan government is soon bringing out ‘Heal in Rajasthan' policy to promote medical tourism in the state. The state government has invited suggestions from stakeholders before finalising the policy's 

The additional chief secretary medical and said that the government has major focus on healthcare. 

“The state government is creating a new age in the field of healthcare. For the first time, the state government has earmarked 8.26% of the total on medical and healthcare,” she said.

Shubhra Singh said that the state is witnessing a huge infrastructural development in the field of medical and healthcare.

“As part of of holistic approach, the state government is promoting Allopathic as well as Ayush medical stream and other wellness activities,” she said. 

She said that Rajasthan is poised to reach new heights in the field of medical tourism. 

“The state is getting new medical infrastructure in the form of aayushman towers of SMS hospital, medical and nursing college in every district and top of the line corporate and private hospitals. The availablity of modern medical and health infrastructure is just another reason to visit Rajasthan as tourist destination,” she said. 

Shubhra Singh said that the availability of affordable healthcare in state will help Rajasthan emerge as the medical tourism hub of the country. 

“The expansion of medical and health facilities to promote medical tourism will help Rajasthan develop most modern medical facilities in the state. This will also promote tourism in the state by bringing top most hotels in the state,” she said. 

In the top health professionals including Dr Vikas Swarnkar, chairperson of Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences, Ranjan Thakur, director of Anandpal Hospital, Dr Rajneesh Sharma and Natioanl Health Mission director Jitendta Kumar Soni were present.

Apart from them, top medical practitioners and administrators were present.
