Rajasthan police hands over Gogamedi murder case to NIA

The has handed over the Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi murder case to National Investigation Agency, which is a central counter terrorism enforcement agency in ten country. On behalf of NIA, K B Vandana, deputy inspector general of police has come to take over the case. She is a 2004 batch IPS from Rajasthan cadre, who is on deputation to NIA.

The has arrested the two shooters on Saturday night from Chandigarh in a joint operation with crime branch Delhi.

In investigation, the police has found involvement of gangster Anandpal Singh' daughter Cheenu and Rohit Gaodara, a member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Both Cheenu and Rohit are said to be operating from Dubai.

“Since the masterminds are operating from Dubai and overseas, NIA will be able to handle the case in a better way. This will need involvement of international agencies like Interpol,” said a senior police official.
