Rajasthan government has entered into an agreement with Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), to partner in transforming healthcare of children and mother through financial and technological intervention.
CIFF is a global philanthropic organisation working in several parts of the world including India to transform the lives of children and adolescents.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between principal secretary medical and health Gayatri Rathore and executive director of CIFF Manjula Singh.
As per the five-year agreement, the two bodies will work together for the well being of children and mothers in the state.
“The main focus would be to transform the lives of children and mothers. Under the MoU, CIFf will provide financial and technological support through various agencies for qualitative improvement in the nutrition and health of children and mothers,” said Gayatri Rathore.
She said that the partnership will help in strengthening the family planning programme in the state as well as provide a better alternative for the treatment of pregnant women suffering from anaemia.
Founder and CEO of CIFF Sir Chris Hohn said that the integrated primary health services in Rajasthan would be strengthened with this partnership.
“Rajasthan is doing well in the area of mother and child health. We have been its partner for long time. We are committed for providing a healthy, free and non discriminative environment to children,” he said.
During the MoU ceremony, senior officials of medical and health department Including mission director of National Health Mission (NHM) Dr Bharti Dixit, director RCH Dr Suneet Singh Ranawat and other official of CIFF were present.
