Rajasthan government will soon effect a transfer list of IAS officers before the model code of conduct kicks in. With Veenu Gupta being recommended for chairman of Real Estate Regulatory Authority ( RERA ), the government will have to find a senior and suitable replacement for her.
Currently, she is additional chief secretary handling industry, commerce, state PSUs, Delhi-Mumbai corridor, mines and petroleum and investment portfolios. In every likelihood, she will get voluntary retirement in a couple of days and a senior IAS officer will have to be given her charge.
Apart from that, two IAS officers – Krishna Kunal and Girdhar – have been put on APO. Kunal was relieved from election commission on September 15, 2023 where he was serving as additional chief electoral officer. Girdhar was first suspended and later put on APO after he was found involved in a brawl in a restaurant in Kishangarh. He was then serving as commissioner Ajmer Development Authority. Both the officers will have to be given postings at the earliest.
In this month, Renu Jaipal, who is serving as commissioner women empowerment and panchayatiraj, will retire on September 30. On the same day, Antar Singh Nehra, who is serving as Jaipur divisional commissioner, is also getting relieved after he had sought voluntary retirement four months ahead of his scheduled retirement in January.
