Rajasthan government is organising mid-term career training programme for 57 Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers comprising officers from 2006-2015 batches. The 5-day programme will be held 21-25 August at Harish Chandra Mathur State Institute of Public Administration (HCMSIPA).
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, in budget 2019-20, had announced to organise mid-term career training programmes for state administrative officers on a regular basis. He had said that an officer must undergo at least three such training programmes during his service.
According to experts, public servants must upgrade themselves for delivering better services to people. Such refresher courses not only abreast them with latest information and knowledge but also armed them with latest changes in law and administrative rules.
“The central government conducts mid-career training and other programmes for IAS officers on a regular basis. Gehlot has done a remarkable job in introducing such programmes for state level officers also. These programmes will broaden the horizons of these officers who are set for taking up bigger responsibilities,” said Lokpal Choudhary, an expert of Public Administration.
