Rajasthan govt signs Rs 28.5K crore MoUs in education pre summit

signed 507 MoUs worth Rs 28.5K crore in the fields of education, sports and skill at the Education Pre-Summit, a part of Rising Global Investment Summit to be held from 9-11 December 2024. 

The agreements and MoUs are likely to pave the way for reconstruction in the education of the state, positive change realising the various objectives of the National Education Policy and investment in the field of education. 

The pre summit organised under the joint aegis of Higher Education, School Education, Sanskrit Education, Technical Education, Skill and Entrepreneurship Department and Sports and Youth Affairs, will not only bring together the philanthropists, donors, and stakeholders of the education sector, but will also provide an important platform for discussions on strategies and innovations for the future development of education. 

Chief Minister of Rajasthan Bhajanlal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa, Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar, Skill Planning Entrepreneurship Department, Youth and Sports Department Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore were present in the pre summit.

Among senior officials Kunal, higher education secretary Arushi Ajey Mallik and youth and sports secretary Niraj K Pawan were present. 

Focus on job oriented education and investment

The objective of this pre-summit is to brainstorm at a high level on the use of latest technologies in the field of education, e-learning, digital education, improvement in the quality of education, new educational approaches, efforts to make education employment oriented with the help of skill development, innovation and future prospects as well as the possibilities of investment in the field of education. 

This summit is considered very important for the improvement and progress of the state education of the state. After this, it is expected to ensure the beginning of a new era of Navnirman in education.

The companies which signed up MoUs with the government included Hindustan Zinc, Damani Foundation, Honda Motors, Cello Foundation, IIFL, Chambal Fertilisers, Mahatma Gandhi University, NIMS University, TCS and Poornima University among others.

Bhajanlal Sharma said that education is the main basis of development, even a small investment made in education brings a big impact. It is the most important. 

He informed that 507 MoUs worth 28 thousand crores have been signed in the pre-summit, which will open new avenues of development in education, technical-higher education, skill development and sports.  

“Rajasthan has immense potential in every sector and though we had limited time for preparation, we will be able to implement these initiatives successfully with your support. We are working hard to provide employment to over 6 lakh youth,” said Bhajan Lal Sharma.  

Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa said that Rajasthan is moving ahead on the path of progress under the leadership of the Chief Minister.

“I am happy that the objective of this event is not economic cooperation but to make the youth self-reliant,” he said.

Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar thanked investors, philanthropists, donors for connecting with Rajasthan. 

“Education is the foundation of life, it will be the basis of whatever destinations are set. We are committed to imparting values along with education,” he said.

Col Rajyavardhan Rathore said that education should not be for degree but for life. Sports is very important for discipline, self-confidence. The aim of the Rajasthan government is to make the education system of the state competitive not only at the state level but also at the national and international level. 

“To fulfil these objectives, eminent policy experts of the education sector, educationists, prominent personalities from the industry, philanthropists, donors and people who are giving a new direction to the education of the state are participating in this mega event,” he said.
