Ahead of assembly elections due in later this year, Rajasthan government has transferred 336 state administrative officers to comply with the direction of Election Commission of India (ECI). Most of these officers were posted in field. The directive of ECI says that any officer posted in field for 3 years at one place should be transferred in the polling state.
More than 150 Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) rank officers and around 30 Additional District Magistrate (ADM) rank officers got new posting in the late night administrative rejig. The officers also include deputy commissioners of development authorities, urban local bodies and excise department.
“This is a routine exercise which every government has to do before elections. This is in compliance with the rules Election Commission,” said a senior official.
Apart from that, the police headquarter has released transfer list of 53 Deputy Superintendent of Police. A day before, 82 DySPs were transferred.
