Rajasthan government transfers 20 IPS officers ahead of model code of conduct

With countdown of beginning in Rajasthan, the state government effected transfer of 20 IPS officers ahead of the implementation of model code of conduct.

The government posted eight officers who have been recently promoted to IPS from state police services. Among these officers, three officers – Krishna Chand, Rajesh Kumar Yadav and Naresh Singh Meena – have been made superintendent of Police in newly carved districts of Shahpura, Gangapur City and Dudu respectively. Another four officers have been posted in Jaipur and Commissionerates while Laxman Das has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Cyber Crime.

The transfer list has two DIG level officers – and Om Prakash. While Chandra has been transferred to Armed Battalion from home security, Om Prakash has been given charge of SDRF.

Apart from that, Manish Tripathi has been transferred to Kekri as superintendent of police to replace Raj Kumar Gupta who has been posted in security.

The government has also given posting to Sushil Kumar who was first suspended following a brawl in a hotel in Kishangarh and was then later put on . He has been posted as commandant, 5th battalion, RAC.
