Rajasthan government has effected much awaited transfer of senior IAS officers changing the face of bureaucracy. As many as 40 IAS officers have been changed.
On last Saturday, the Rajasthan government had earlier transferred 72 officers including 36 collectors. The list reflects that the new government has not shown any vindication while effecting transfer. Good officers have been given important departments.
However, few effective officers like Bhaskar Sawant, Vaibhav Galriya, Gaurav Goyal and Rajan Vishal among few others could have been given better departments.
The chief secretary Sudhansh Pant will hold additional charge of chief residential commissioner, Delhi. He is already having additional charge of chairman Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Limited .
The senior most IAS Subodh Agarwal, a 1988-batch IAS officer, who was serving as additional chief secretary PHED and water resources has been sent out of secretariat. He has been appointed as chairman, Indira Gandhi Panchayatiraj replacing Kunjilal Meena, who has been appointed as chairman, Indira Gandhi canal Board. Meena is currently on a week-long training at Hyderabad.
Shubhra Singh has been retained as additional chief secretary medical and health. She will hold additional charge of medical education also.
Abhay Kumar, who was serving as additional chief secretary rural development and panchayatiraj, food and civil supplies has been moved to water resources and state water resources planning department. He will hold additional charge of rural development and panchayatiraj and Indira Gandhi Canal department.
Akhil Arora has been retained as additional chief secretary finance and excise. However, department of information technology and public relation has been taken away from him.
Similarly, his wife Aparna Arora will continue to serve as additional chief secretary revenue and colonisation. However, she has been hived off from departments like ex servicemen welfare and devasthan.
Sandeep Verma, who has just been promoted to additional chief secretary has been moved from science and technology to public works department.
His batchmate and wife Shreya Guha has been moved from cooperative department to transport department. She will hold additional charge of chairman roadways also.
Kuldeep Ranka, who was principal secretary Ashok Gehlot and was put on APO, has been given posting as additional chief secretary social justice and empowerment department and panchayatiraj (social justice and empowerment).
His batchmate Anand Kumar, has been retained as additional chief secretary home, ACB, vigilance. However, departments like transport and roadways which he was handling has been taken from him.
Bhaskar Sawant, who was principal secretary energy and chairman disoms, has been transferred to food and civil supplies and consumer affairs.
The principal secretary Ajitabh Sharma has been given important portfolio of industries including MSME, state PSUs, Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor, Bhilwadi Integrated Development Authority, investment and bureau of investment promotion. He will hold additional charge of chairman RIICO.
Alok Gupta, has also been given important portfolio of energy. He will serve as principal secretary energy. He will hold additional charge of chairman and managing director Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited.
Vaibhav Galriya, who was principal secretary public works department, has been appointed as principal secretary agriculture and horticulture. He will hold additional charge of chairman, Rajasthan State Warehousing Corporation Limited.
His batchmate T Ravikanth, who was serving as principal secretary medical and health with additional charge of urban development and housing has been given full fledged charge of UDH with additional charge of principal secretary to chief minister and local self governance.
Manju Rajpal, who was serving as secretary rural development has been moved for urban development as commissioner of Jaipur Development Authority.
Bhanu Prakash Yeturu, who was secretary home, has been made chairman discoms. He will hold additional charge of chairman, Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation.
Samit Sharma, who was serving as secretary social justice has been moved to secretary PHED and ground water department. Sharma will also hold additional charge of secretary department of information and public relation.
Among other major appointments Sandesh Nayak has been appointed as special secretary to chief minister while Anandhi has been moved to mines and petroleum department from secretary department of information technology.
Arti Dogra, who was serving as secretary to former chief minister Ashok Gehlot and was put on APO has been appointed as secretary information technology replacing Anandhi.
Sunil Sharma, who was serving as commissioner college education has been transferred as commissioner and joint secretary department of information and public relation.
