As many as eight young officers of 2024 batch will join the cadre of Indian Forest Service (IFoS) in Rajasthan.
The central government has allotted state cadres to 140 young officers of 2024 batch.
Currently 98 officers are serving in Rajasthan cadre of forest service.
Among those who have been allotted Rajasthan cadre care – Kale Pratiksha Nana Saheb, Harveer Singh Jagarwar, Pradhumn Singh Bhittu, Priya Dharshini S, Prasath S, Vignesh SA, Dharmendra Patel and Saurabh Rai Rathore.
Rajasthan's forest cover is approximately 32,863 square kilometers, which is 9.60% of the state's total geographical area.
The state has five Tiger Reserves, three National Parks, 26 Sanctuaries and 37 Conservation Reserves while 8 national parks and sanctuaries are under process.
