Rajasthan agriculture minister Kataria lands in trouble, allegedly submitted wrong affidavits with EC

agriculture minister Lal Chand Kataria has landed in a trouble over allegedly submitting wrong affidavit with commission regarding his educational qualification.

The matter has reached the Election Commission with documents for taking strict action against Kataria.

According to media reports, Kataria, while contesting election from Amer assembly in 2003, has submitted an affidavit stating that he was intermediate (XIIth) pass from Rai Bareily (UP) inter .

Five years later, Kataria, while contesting elections from Jhotwara in 2008. Has submitted affidavit stating that he was 10th pass.

As per the rule of election commission, every candidate has to file an affidavit regarding information about profession, Income, movable and immovable assets, criminal cases, court cases, liabilities and educational qualification.

“In fact in four elections he has submitted four different affidavit having different educational qualifications. In 2003, Kataria claimed that he was XIIth pass and five years later in 2008, he claimed that he was Xth pass. How is it possible to downgrade educational qualification with time?” sources said.

In this election, Congress is yet to announce ticket for Kataria. The party has not announced candidate from Jhotwara from where BJP has fielded Lok Sabha member Col , who is MP from Jaipur rural of which Jhotwara is a part.

Four elections, four different qualification:

in 2003 when Kataria fought election from Amer, he claimed that he had completed intermediate (XIIth) from Narmadeshwar Inter College, Rai Bareily in the year 1990.

Affidavit submitted by Kataria in 2008

In 2008, when he contested from Jhotwara, he submitted that he has passed Xth from Narmadeshwar Inter College, Rai Bareily in 1986.
In 2009, when he contested Lok Sabha election from Jaipur rural, he announced his candidacy educational qualification to be Xth.
In 2018 assembly elections, when he contested from Jhotwara, he changed his qualification in his affidavit to XIIth.

The College denies having Kataria as its student

The inter college of Rai Bareily from where Lal Chand Kataria claims that he had passed XII, categorically denied in writing having Kataria as its student at any point of time.

The principal of this college said that Kataria has not passed XIIth there is no record for Kataria in the college.
