Priya Pathak gets inspired by IAS Tina Dabi to top MPPSC

Priya Pathak, who has topped the Public Service examination (MPPSC-2019), is an ardent admirer of Tina Dabi.

She said that she has been inspired by Tina Dabi, an IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre who topped UPSC in 2015 at the age of 22. Tina Dabi is currently on maternity leave in Rajasthan. Before going for leave she was serving as Jaisalmer Collector.

Priya, 26, is a native of Hardua village of Satna district. She is post graduate in Political Science from Devi Ahilya Bai University and a graduate in biotechnology. His father Krishna Sharan Pathak is a teacher in government primary school, Khamrehi. Priya also studied in village school till fifth and then completed XII from Navodaya Vidyalaya.

Priya said that when she appeared for MPPSC for the first time in 2019, she kept away from social media but later she logged into social media and secured second position for the post of deputy superintendent of police in 2019.

“For achieving such scale of success, one has to very hard, make sacrifice and stick to a timetable. I am happy that I have been to achieve what I aspired. I give credit to all senior bureaucrats who have inspired me to reach this level,” she said.

Seven women in top 10

Out of total 472 candidates passed in this examination, seven out of top 10 positions have been bagged by women candidates. The top three positions for the post of deputy collector have been bagged by women – Priya Pathak (I), Shivangi Baghel (II) and Pooja Soni (III).

The third topper Pooja Soni is an of 2022 batch UPSC. She had also cleared Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) in 2020 and had served as deputy collector of Hamirpur. She is also an alumni of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. Likewise even for the post of deputy superintendent of police, woman candidate Ruchi Jain has bagged the first position.

According to MPPSC, result on a total of 484 posts was to be announced but it could not find any suitable candidate for 12 posts reserved for specially challenged and other quota. So result off 472 posts was only declared.
