Prem Sukh Bishnoi IAS caught for bribery

Prem Sukh Bishnoi, director of fisheries has been caught red handed along with assistant director Rakesh Dev on taking ₹35,000 as bribe

Prem Sukh Bishnoi, a 2011 batch , promoted from state civil services, has been nabbed by Anti Corruption Bureau () on charges. 

Prem Sukh Bishnoi, a native of , is serving as director fisheries department.

According Hemant Priyadarshi, additional director general of ACB, Prem Sukh Bishnoi and his subordinate Rakesh Dev, assistant director were said to be demanding ₹one lakh from a complainant for issuing fishing and transport license at Annapurna pond in Tonk district. 

On the basis of information, ACB laid a trap under supervision of deputy Dr Ravi. The complainant was asked to give ₹ 35,000 to the officers demanding the bribe. 

“When the complainant handed over the said amount, ACB sleuths nabbed them red handed and booked a case under the Prevention of Corruption Act. 

First big fish in ACB net in new govt

Prem Sukh Bishnoi has become the first big fish in ACB net in Bhajan Lal Sharma government. 

Bishnoi, a 1992 batch RAS officer, had once suspended when he was additional commisioner colonisation in Bikaner. He remained suspended from April 2014 to October 2014 and then was sent on APO for a month. 

After becoming IAS, he has not enjoyed good posting. He is scheduled to retire in December this year.
