An ACP rank officer of Uttar Pradesh police Mohsin Khan has been booked in a rape case in Kanpur.
An IIT Kanpur student has accused him of raping her in a love trap.
Following a complaint by the student, the Kanpur police started investigation into the case.
The investigation is being conducted by a lady Additinal DCP Archana. She interrogated Mohsin Khan for two hours. It is being said that the allegation was found to be true.
Police has suspended ACP Mohsin Khan and an FIR has been registered against him.
Who is IPS Mohsin Khan?
Mohsin, a state police service officer, was posted as ACP in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He is a resident of Lucknow. Mohsin Khan was working as an ACP in cyber crime. In many programs, he was also seen making people aware of cyber security.
Raped by hiding the matter of marriage
According to information, Mohsin Khan is studying cyber crime and criminology from IIT Kanpur. It was here that he met the girl, a PhD student. Mohsin Khan is accused of raping and deceiving the girl by hiding his marriage.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also been constituted to probe the case.
According to reports, Mohsin Khan had joined the UP police service on July 1, 2015. He has been posted in Kanpur since December 12, 2023. He was dealing with cases related to cyber crime.
