Pednekar looks up to social media influencers to promote Rajsakhi

Rajeevika and rural development secretary Ashutosh AT Pednekar envisions to use the power of social media to uplift the social and economic condition of rural women engaged in self employment through – the umbrella brand of Rajeevika which provides linkages to rural women entrepreneurs. 

Social influencers can help Rajsakhi entrepreneurs to sell products worth Rs 15,000 crore they manufacture in a year. 

For that, Pednekar roped in more than 160 social media influencers across the state at a workshop – Friends of Rajsakhi – to enable rural women entrepreneurs reach out prospective customers across the globe.

Pednekar said that with the synergy of social media and Rajsakhi, a new platform of social service can be created for women empowerment.

“Social influencers can help increase the reach of Rajsakhi to every nook and corner through social media platforms,” he said. 

Pednekar said that influencers can make a difference in the lives of rural women with their creative initiatives. He assured influencers of providing all possible cooperation by the department for the publicity of Rajivika.

Influencers too assured Pednekar their involvement in the and dissemination of Rajivika and meaningful push for the sale of Rajsakhi products through social media platforms. 

Apart from Rajsakhi entrepreneurs and social media influencers, senior officers of Rajeevika including project director Ajay Kumar Arya, state project manager Meena Neeru Tulsiram and Rajeevika social media team incharge Neeru Naruka participated in the workshop.
