In yet another pioneering initiative to bring in modern practices and amenities to Rajasthan Housing Board, its commissioner Pawan Arora has decided to introduce digital door number technology in housing board flats. This unique technology works on geospatial technology under which each house will be give an alphanumeric code as the first-hand identification number comprising information on the exact location of the property with coded detail of its address, nearby landmark, sub road and main road.
The RHB has launch this pilot project in 500 flats of Mukhyamantri Shikshak and Prahari project in Pratap Nagar.
“A unique ID will be given to each flat through QR code containing all the geophysical information. Any person can scan that QR code through smart phone and can reach out to the exact location with the help of google map. If this project gets successful, we can launch this in other projects also,” said Pawan Arora.
He said that the services will give door step access to all kind civic amenities and other emergency services like police, ambulance and fire brigade.
What is Digital Door Number (DDN)
Each property will be uniquely identified and address numbers will be synced with information on utility services, such as water, electricity bills and property tax. The Digital Door Numbering (DDN) project will create a uniform address database system, using cloud computing technologies and geo-spatial technique.
