Nripendra Misra, committee chief, gears up to complete temple by 2024

Around 78 years ago on March 8, 1945 when Nripendra Misra former IAS was born in Deoria, a village 245 kms away from Ayodhya, little did he know that Mishra would be the chairman of temple's construction committee of Ram Lalla.

The former principal secretary of Prime Narendra Modi, Misra is preparing plans beyond Pran Pratishtha scheduled on January 22. He said that soon after the Pran Pratishtha, construction will restart with a commitment to complete the entire temple by 2024.

“We will start our work from 23rd January with new enthusiasm and a new commitment so that the entire temple can be built in 2024. Seven more temples are to be built in the temple premises. Construction work will be started after Pran Pratishtha ceremony…” Misra told media.

He said that all the arrangements have been done to ensure that the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla is done at the committee time. The entire nation is waiting with bated breath to see the inauguration of Ram Temple.

“Today is the day before Pran Pratishtha and is very important for all of us. All the arrangements have to be seen…it has to be ensured in such a way that all the assurances given to the nation may be fulfilled,” he said.

A 1967 batch retired IAS, Nripendra Misra is key to the construction of Ram Temple. Not only because he is the chairman of committee, but also as he had advised then Mulayam Singh Yadav against tough measures in dealing with kar sevaks at the disputed site in 1990. He was then principal secretary to Uttar Pradesh chief minister.

The most powerful bureaucrat at one point of time, Misra stepped down from being the principal secretary to prime minister to become the chairman of temple's construction committee. As he is overseeing each and every step of the construction work, the entire country is assured that no repair work would be required before 1000 years as claimed by the committee.
