Sitting in the front row, former chief minister Vasundhara Raje must be feeling nostalgic.
In 2007, when the first ever investment summit was organised in Rajasthan – Resurgent Rajasthan – Vasundhara Raje was the chief minister. Again in 2015, when the investment summit was organised for the second time, Raje was the chief minister.
The third edition was organised in 2022 during the tenure of Ashok Gehlot while fourth such summit is being organised under BJP rule but under the leadership of Bhajan Lal Sharma.
Raje, who started it all, is now left to sit in the front row accompanying deputy chief minister Diya Kumar – who also shares the tag of royal with Raje – the erstwhile Maharani of Dholpur and scion of Scindia clan.
Raje, however, went to airport to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who inaugurated the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit.
Raje is known to have one-on-one equation with many leading industrialists including Anand Mahindra, Narayan Murty, Anil Agrawal and Navin Jindal among others. They have invested in Rajasthan at her insistence.
