Madhya Pradesh team visits Jaipur to study free medicine scheme

In an exchange of sorts, a team of Madhya Pradesh Public Services Corporation (MPPHSC), has come to Rajasthan to study the free medicine scheme of Rajasthan government. 

Few months back, a team from Rajasthan led by Neha Giri, who is managing of Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation (RMSC) had gone to Madhya Pradesh to study their model.

RMSC managing director Neha Giri said that Rajasthan has been on top in the country as far as and implementation of free medicine scheme is concerned.

“We are continuously doing innovations and necessary modifications to improve efficiency and implementation. A team from Madhya Pradesh has come to study our model,” she said. 

The team from Madhya Pradesh led by MPPHSC managing director Dr Pankaj Jain, a 2012 batch IAS officer, visited primary health centres in Jaipur city to understand the supply management and distribution of medicines. They also studied the online management of medicine supply through e-aushadh software. 

The team also visited warehouse and godowns to study the storage and upkeep of medicine stocks.
