Krishna Kant Pathak, a 2001 batch IPS officer, has been given additional responsibility of excise commissioner after Ansh Deep (2013 batch), who is serving as excise commissioner and prohibition commissioner, has been relieved for . The had indicated the post of excise commissioner going on additional charge in its story dated August 31, 2024.

Krishna Kant Pathak, who is serving as secretary finance (revenue) is already holding additional charge of tax board.

Ansh Deep is going to join as deputy secretary in the union ministry of cooperation for a period of four years from joining.
