Kiran Rijiju launches IAS Sonal Goel ’s book ‘Nation Calling’

Union Minister of Earth Sciences Kiren Rijiju launched a book – Nation Calling – authored by Sonal Goel, a 2008 batch IAS officer of Tripura cadre. She is serving as Resident of Tripura government in Delhi.

The book is about the strategy and winning techniques for cracking UPSC and other civil services examination. It is a comprehensive guide designed to empower readers and equip them with the knowledge, strategies and mindset required to navigate the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

The writer Sonal Goel has put in her 15 years of rich experience of administration and public service. She emphasized the boundless potential that lies within each individual and encouraged aspiring civil servants to persevere through challenges. She further highlighted the transformative of service and elaborated how it extends beyond bureaucratic confines and resonates in the hearts of yearning for a more inclusive India.

Who is Sonal Goel?

Sonal Goel hails from Panipat in Haryana. She is a 2008 batch IAS from Tripura cadre and has applied for voluntary retirement in this August month.

Having secured an all India Rank 13th in Civil Services Examination, she joined Tripura Cadre (4 years Inter-cadre deputation to Haryana) and has held various significant positions since then. She has put in more than 15 years of dedicated service towards the nation.

She joined the Haryana cadre in July 2016 and has served as CEO of Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL) and Additional CEO of Gurugram Metropolitan Authority (GMDA) in her last posting on inter-cadre deputation.
