Union Minister of Earth Sciences Kiren Rijiju launched a book – Nation Calling – authored by Sonal Goel, a 2008 batch IAS officer of Tripura cadre. She is serving as Resident Commissioner of Tripura government in Delhi.

Who is Sonal Goel?
Sonal Goel hails from Panipat in Haryana. She is a 2008 batch IAS from Tripura cadre and has applied for voluntary retirement in this August month.
Having secured an all India Rank 13th in Civil Services Examination, she joined Tripura Cadre (4 years Inter-cadre deputation to Haryana) and has held various significant positions since then. She has put in more than 15 years of dedicated service towards the nation.
She joined the Haryana cadre in July 2016 and has served as CEO of Gurugram Metropolitan City Bus Limited (GMCBL) and Additional CEO of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) in her last posting on inter-cadre deputation.
