Judge tells IG to teach head constable how to salute

A judge of a local court in wrote a letter to Inspector General (IG) Pali range expressing his displeasure over demeanour of a head constable Poonam Ram in his court. The judge is said to be not happy with the way constable gave him (judge) a salute on his (constable) appearance in the court.

The IG directed Jalore SP for appropriate action. Yadav in turn wrote letter to Reserve Inspector (RI) of Line to the head constable how to salute with the parade for seven days. The SP has asked for a report within 10 days. The training of the head constable has started from December 1, 2024.

What is the case?

Head constable Poonam Ram had appeared in the district and sessions court for testimony in a case. 

The Judge was not satisfied with the salute and etiquette shown by Poonam Ram in the court. 

Enraged by this, the Judge wrote a letter to IG (Pali) for appropriate action as per rules and train the head constable so that his behaviour is in accordance with the court's decorum.
