It seems BJP leader Vasundhara Raje, at 70 years of age, is fighting her last battle. A two time minister and times and equal times member of parliament, Raje, on the eve of her nomination at Jhalawar said that she can now retire from as her son and other MLAs of Jhalawar district are prepared and trained to take the plunge.

“The most important thing to consider is that now I think I can retire. Today when I heard my son, MP sahab, when I heard him speak, I felt you all have taught him well… with some love, some anger you have put him on the right path. Now I don't have to get after him, you have done that,” she said.

Raje appreciated BJP workers and public for grooming her son and her supporting MLAs so much so that she doesn't have to be after them.

“They are now well trained. Now I don't have to keep and eye on them or be after them. The team has done wonders,” she said.

What her statement means?

At a time when BJP seems to be looking beyond Vasundhara Raje for state leadership, her statement has a deep meaning.
The BJP leadership has been persuading Raje to take some leadership role at centre. Her statement may well build a foundation of her role.
